My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of spending a weekend at the the beautiful Valley Heights Guesthouse in Upper Kennilworth, Cape Town.

Our hosts, Bruce and Jeanie Lane, went out of their way to make this a weekend that we will never forget!

From the moment that we first enquired about availability at Valley Heights, until our departure where they waved goodbye at the gate, nothing was too much trouble for this hospitable couple.
The guesthouse consists of 2 family units and 4 double bedrooms and can accommodate 16 guests in total. All units are fully equipped with TV with DSTV, honesty bar, fridge, kettle and safe and are serviced daily.

A typical morning at Valley Heights guesthouse starts with a scrumptious English breakfast, good enough for a king! Because our flight was slightly delayed, we only arrived at Valley Heights in the early hours of the morning (around 01:00 am!) and Bruce suggested that we sleep in a bit, and have breakfast a bit later than usual. We were therefore the only 2 guests having breakfast, but  that did not stop our hosts from still going all out! Freshly baked muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit and cereals greeted us in the dining room. This was followed by bacon, eggs, mushrooms and sausages complimented by a variety of bread and condiments.

Guests have access to the guest house’s large, sunny lounge and patio area with built in braai facility. Additional facilities include a large swimming pool, gazebo and tranquil garden with fountain. Secure off-street parking is available.

Valley Heights is ideal for both business and holiday accommodation, as it is close to major tourist attractions (Kirstenbosch, Newlands Cricket and Rugby grounds, Cavendish Square, fine restaurants - just to name a few) as well as within easy access of Cape Town, the Waterfront and False Bay and Atlantic seaboards.

INTERNET: Valley Heights is a " Wi - Fi " Hotspot - the service provider being M.Web/Internet Solutions. Internet access is available throughout the whole Guest House. Guests are required to log onto the Service Provider and are charged by them for the time/capacity used.
